December 8th, 2008I read an article in last weeks Post that foreclosure filings have dropped a quarter. Economists think that this is a sign our economy and real estate market is improving.

I don’t know which news program I was watching but they were saying if you’re a local and a skier/snowboarder this may be the best ski season ever. That is, if you like little crowds, short lift lines maybe even stable ticket prices! The reason: the downturn in the economy and out of towners consider skiing and snowboarding a luxry instead of a way of life like many of us locals do. Many people will scale back their vacations this winter affording those of us who live here in Denver the added bonus of noticeably smaller crowds. You never know we may even have less traffic along I-70. Woohoo!
T-ball registration for children in the Metro Districts and Highlands Ranch area begins in early January 2009. If you live in the area, don’t forget to sign the boys and girls up!
Located on a 5 acre panoramic lot with stunning front range views. Completely updated and remodeled interior and exterior; new slab granite, maple hardwood cabinets, and pristine hardwood floors. Boasting a new electrical system and a new septic tank with a fully finished walk-out basement. An oversized, finished two car garage to hold all your toys! Country setting easily accessible to major highways. Within 10 miles of I 25, within 5-6 miles of E-470.

I am working with several clients right now and it seems as if the volume of homes to hit the market has decreased quite a bit this last week. Maybe everyone but me is on vacation!
I did come across two great looking homes priced at $99,000-$95,950 that seem to be “move in ready”. Nice updates throughout, appliances in place and ready for renters or homeowners. I would be shocked if both these homes weren’t under contract within a matter of days.
Have a great holiday season!
